Please note that Rio Concho Terrace is a smoke-free community, and residents must be 62 years of age or older while meeting the lease requirements.

Security Deposit is equal to first month’s rent and must be paid before move in. Security deposits also must be paid in order to secure an apartment.
Charter specifies you have to be 62 or older. However, if there is two potential occupants applying to live together within the same apartment and at least one of the potential occupants is 62 years of age and older than both can apply to move into the same apartment together.

Yes, the Terrace has a fully furnished apartment that we call a short-term rental. It has everything from pots and pans to linens, just bring your clothes and personal essentials. You can use this as a place to recover from surgery to ease your burden of having to cook or find someone to take you to your doctor’s appointments. You may also rent out the Terrace for a couple of weeks and try it out before you decide to move in.
The Terrace is still independent living but has more amenities in place to help those needing additional assistance in their own day-to-day living.
Yes, but we have only one two-bedroom apartment at the Terrace.
Rio Concho Terrace does not take HUD vouchers.
The Terrace has studios, joined studios, and one bedroom’s apartments. The Terrace also has one two-bedroom apartment.
Yes, the Terrace offers three meals a day in house at the Terrace dining room.
Yes, the Terrace has an activity director who schedules and host activities. Activity calendars for the Terrace and the other Rio Concho Communities are published monthly.
Call the Terrace office and request a move in packet and come in for a tour. You must read and sign the Terrace security deposit agreement form and return it with a security deposit check to secure an apartment before moving in. At lease signing first month’s rent will also be due.
There’s no way to know for sure because it depends on how many apartments become available, how long it takes to get them ready for rental, and what size of apartment is in demand. If you’re interested in becoming a resident at the Terrace, please fill out a application and get on the waitlist as soon as possible.
You’re welcome to come and look at the common areas and pick up information on the Terrace but I cannot guarantee a tour of apartments without you scheduling a tour beforehand. If your able to give us a call before you come by 325-658-2662.
